Why now
TIHC is building the infrastructure that lets cultural knowledge remain findable, citable, connected and useful beyond a single exhibition, event or generation.
The work of artists, researchers and tradition keepers is not made more durable simply because it exists. Documentation has to be built.
The Archive and Library create public-facing structures through which knowledge can be encountered, studied and connected across places.
Support lets TIHC accumulate slowly rather than treating each programme as a one-off event.
What your support builds
Support can follow the programme that matters to you, or remain unrestricted so TIHC can place it where it is most useful.
Curated convenings experimenting with third spaces and temporary social infrastructure for proximity to ideas.
Visit Sessions →A mobile, relational knowledge infrastructure, itinerant across Switzerland and Europe rather than fixed to one room.
Visit the Library →The Observatory for Living Cultural Systems: a growing collection of Cultural System Dossiers.
Visit the Archive →Reciprocal artist mobility between Europe and Africa, with the emphasis on production rather than tourism.
Group and solo exhibitions, commissions and standalone works such as Dotzerosix.
Public panels and closed studio dialogues cutting across the programme, filmed and released publicly.
Patronage
Patronage is for individuals, family offices, corporations and foundations who want a more defined relationship with TIHC and the work it is building.
TIHC leadership replies personally. You do not have to know the right structure before you get in touch.
The Patronage Dossier
A 40-page account of TIHC's five-year institutional plan, patronage structure and founding relationships, shared directly with prospective patrons.
Beyond a financial gift
Expertise, literature, infrastructure, relationships and material collaboration can also move the work forward.
Recommend a text, donate a volume, or support an acquisition through the Library's submission protocol.
Contribute a text →Tradition keepers, researchers, museums, private and corporate collections, curators and translators can take part directly.
See how you take part →For cloud, compute, data, storage and cybersecurity companies: cash, product, people or consultancy can support the infrastructure.
Partner with the Archive →If your own space can hold a room, TIHC can design a Sessions- or Library-style activation and bring the practitioners, including a Chapter built alongside your own material practice, where that practice genuinely belongs inside the research question.
Enquire →A private patron community entered through significant patronage and personal invitation. Not a ticket you can buy.
Visit the Circle →An independent, research-grade audit of a collection's cultural composition and gaps, formatted for board and disclosure use.
Enquire →Before you reach out
Only the questions that materially reduce hesitation sit here. Everything else belongs on the relevant programme page.
